All American Selection

All-America Selections is an independent non-profit organization that tests new, never-before-sold varieties for the home gardener. After a full season of anonymous trialing by volunteer horticulture professionals, only the top garden performers are given the AAS Winner award designation for their superior performance.

The 1999 AAS winner, Juliet Tomato, is a bright red, 1 oz. cherry tomato hybrid with a great sweet flavor that can't be beat! This tomato variety produces grape-like clusters on long, vigorous vines. The small and elongated fruit has a sweet flavor with an attractive glossy skin that is very crack resistant.

The Super Chili is an AAS Pepper Variety Winner! A real super chili pepper, bred for compact, 15" inch plants cover with fruits. These hot peppers can reach upwards of 37,500 Scovilles. Great for spicy cuisine like Thai or Asian dishes.

The Yellow of Paris Pumpkin is a large yellow to peach colored pumpkin that is an old French native that is still popular today. These large, flattened round beauties are very similar to Cinderella pumpkins and can weigh up to 50 pounds! This variety is mainly used for making pies, soup or baked. The Yellow of Paris is known for its delicious, tender flavor when cooked.

Roxanne is a hybrid radish with uniform bright red color and a beautiful creamy white interior. Roxanne is a great tasting radish with no pithiness or bleeding even at a larger size. This radish stays firm and solid even when oversized, and holds well in the garden.

Thumbelina carrots are tender and sweet with no need to peel! It is the perfect bit size for fresh eating, stews and salads. Thumbelina's small size makes it a great choice for heavy or shallow soils or containers. No wonder it is an All-America Selections Winner from 1992!

The Marketer cucumber is an old time favorite since the 1940's! This cucumber variety produces very tasty 9" long deep green cucumbers. Marketer cucumber is just perfect for slicing, salads and pickles when picked small!

The Cherry Belle Radish is the earliest maturing, garden standard radish. This variety is a 1949 All-American Winner and there is no wonder why. This radish retains its fine eating quality all season. The Cherry Belle is a round, smooth, scarlet beauty. This radish is 3/4" inches across with a crisp, white flesh that is ideal for garnishes or use in salads.

The Indian Summer Rudbeckia is an All-American Selection award winner for its great performance and attractive, golden-yellow blooms! This variety produces single and semi-double blooms that can be 6-9" inches across.

Holy Mole! The Holy Mole is a F1 Pasilla-type All American Selection Pepper! This high yielding pepper is used for making mole sauces and different dips. This 8" long pepper variety has a very tangy flavor. These compact 3' tall plants are perfect for the patio. 1,300 Scovilles.

The Tidal Wave Silver Petunia is a powerful spreading petunia that will add a beautiful pop of purple and silver to any garden! This petunia variety is a great hedging flower for landscaping, mounds like a shrub, spreads like an eagle. Seed pellets for easy handling

Interior texture is smooth and dense with bright white color, even when roots get large. Exceptional quality and taste when picked young, but still tasty if allowed to sit in theĀ garden longer, giving gardener an extended harvest opportunity.

An All American Selection Pepper, need we say more! The Gypsy pepper is a yellow to orange hot pepper. Grows to about 2x4" in size. Excellent when used in salads, frying, or stews.
